On June 17-24, 2017, the Imagine Center for Conflict Transformation held a Summer School and Dialogue in Georgia for 18 journalists, analysts, and civic activists from the South Caucasus and Turkey. Supported by the US Embassies in the South Caucasus, the School provided space for dialogue and advanced capacity building that encourages a culture of responsible, independent, and impartial journalistic practices and conflict transformative analysis that can counterbalance the prevailing conflict-generating coverage.

Following the Summer School and Dialogue, the journalists and civic activists engaged in the production of a series of multimedia stories covering a variety of topics such as the minority heritage in the South Caucasus, the experiences of the displaced individuals, commemoration practices and the politics of memory. On August 25-27, 2017, the some of the journalists and civic activists met again for a follow-up workshop to further synchronize their approaches in covering these themes.
