In Winter-Spring 2015, the Imagine Center implemented the project “Conflict Aware Journalism in the Context of South Caucasus Conflicts”. The project aimed to contribute to the development of ethical and conflict sensitive reporting and to encourage a culture of responsible, independent, and impartial media coverage in the South Caucasus. For this purpose, a core group of Armenian, Azerbaijani, and Georgian journalists and media experts met in Tbilisi on March 13-15, 2015 and came up with the plan of developing a Code of Ethics and a Training Module in conflict sensitive journalism. In the months following the meeting, the Code of Ethics and the Training Modules were developed and were followed by local trainings and roundtables utilizing and disseminating the Training Module and the Code of Ethics to a wider circle of colleagues.
